Matthew Smith, Director at Christie & Co’s Bristol office handled the sale and comments, “The Janse Van Rensburg family purchased the hotel in 2013 and carried out a major refurbishment later that year, prior to remodelling, repositioning the business and subsequently rebranding to Hebasca. The new owner, Alan Rees, was quick to identify the up-side in a business that has had considerable investment and was able to move at pace to conclude the transaction. We wish Alan and his team all the success with the next phase of the business.”
