Crown Kindergartens is an established family run nursery, renowned in the area for offering exceptional childcare and ideally located in a bustling commuter area of London, close to road and public transport links. The business has been operated by the Acres/Stanley family for 44 years and throughout this time, they have built up a strong, long standing staff team, providing care for up to 38 children.
Previous owners, Lynne Stanley and David Acres decided to sell Crown Kindergartens as they felt now was the right time to pursue other ventures and comment, “We are delighted that ours and our wonderful employees’ passion and commitment to the sector will continue through Sian and that our legacy and continued aim to provide the very best in childcare and early education will continue to flourish under the Ellis family’s ownership. It has been an honour and a privilege to play a part in so many children’s early learning journeys.
“The emotional process of selling our day nursery was made easier due to the highly knowledgeable and professional service and guidance we received through Sophie at Christie & Co.”
The nursery has been acquired by Sian Ellis, who previously worked in the City for a number of years, as her first nursery purchase after looking for over a year for the right setting. Mrs Ellis plans to retain the family orientated approach and excellent childcare provision, whilst updating the internal systems and refreshing the brand and comments, “I am incredibly excited and immensely proud to be taking ownership of Crown Kindergartens".
Sophie Willcox, Senior Childcare Business Agent at Christie & Co, who handled the sale comments, “It has been a pleasure working with the owners of Crown Kindergartens to find them the right buyer to pass on their legacy to. This opportunity created a lot of interest given its prime South West London location and I am delighted to have helped Sian find the perfect nursery to enter the sector. I wish her all the best for the future.”
Crown Kindergartens was sold off a guide price of £550,000 for the leasehold interest.
