The freehold children’s day nursery, which has an effective operating capacity of 67 children, was established by Mrs Allerton in 1998 and has now been bought by Mr Kola Olamiju, who already operates an existing setting in South London.
The owner-managed nursery originally started on the just the ground floor of the property, but due to the incredible demand drummed up by Mrs Allerton over her 18 years of running the business, expanded into the top floor and a second building in the grounds.
The former residential property, which is set in its own grounds, has a private car park and a large activity play area to the rear.
Sophie Willcox, Business Agent at Christie & Co brokered the sale and said “We are delighted to have completed the sale of Purley Day Nursery and Montessori Centre to Mr Olamiju, who is already a successful operator in South London.
“As an expanding operator, we look forward to working with Mr Olamiju on future acquisitions and would also like to wish Mrs Allerton all the very best for her well-deserved retirement.”
