The Client

We were engaged by Bayview Italia to market the former Poggio alla Sala Resort on the outskirts of Montepulciano in Tuscany. The estate, which closed in 2012, consists of 51 generously proportioned rooms spread across several individual buildings, set within the Sangiovese vineyards. The site also features two outdoor pools, a spa with an indoor pool, a meeting room, a restaurant and several outbuildings for development.

 

The Brief

This unique resort offered tremendous repositioning and development potential and was likely to appeal to a wide range of international operators, investors and HNWIs from across the globe looking to enter the Italian market or expand their portfolios. We needed to demonstrate this opportunity at its best and to illustrate the vision for this asset in the future.

 

The Solution

We carried out an international multilingual marketing campaign including teaser, information memorandum, virtual dataroom and a bespoke drone video to showcase the outstanding location and beauty of the site, as well as the range of value-add opportunities provided by this asset.

 

The Results

The new owners, Precise Hotels are an inspiring, luxury collection of hotels and resorts in Germany and Spain. Renowned for their meticulous attention to detail and ability to create the perfect blend of modern innovations with traditional heritage in each of their properties, the group plan to breathe new life into Poggio with an extensive refurbishment before reopening the estate as part of their exclusive collection.
