Belfast pharmacy finds new owner through Christie & Co

Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has successfully sold Greencastle Pharmacy in Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland to a group operator based in the region, following significant interest from buyers in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.



Located in Belfast, in a highly populated residential area, the modern premises underwent a refit in recent years and benefits from spacious retail and dispensary areas, plus a consultation room. Externally, the site also has its own car park at the front of the property.

The previous owner, Mr David Beggs, who is based in Dublin, appointed Christie & Co to help him sell Greencastle, his last pharmacy in Northern Ireland.

Karl Clezy, Director at Christie & Co commented, “The pharmacy has been trading well and it was obvious that the new owners could see further opportunities with this site.  The previous owner was not hands on as he lived in Dublin however the new operators are experienced in the industry and will add Greencastle to their existing portfolio, with further investment to grow the business.” 

The pharmacy was sold from a guide price of £600,000.
