The two care homes, based in South Molton, Devon and St Austell, Cornwall respectively, mark the third acquisition in recent months for the company who are keen to build their brand of learning disability homes in the South West.

Jonathan Southgate, Care Business Agent at Christie & Co who managed the sale commented: “This sale marks a milestone for Potens’ business development in the South West and both the buyer and seller are delighted with the result.

“The transactional care market remains strong in the region with a particular focus on specialist businesses. There is high competition for sites from a number of independent and corporate companies which are looking to acquire.

“Now is a good time to consider selling as well-traded learning disability homes are urgently needed on the market to meet buyer demand.”

The Executive Chairman of Potens, which has over 50 sites in England, Wales and Northern Ireland expressed his pleasure in adding to the South West region.
