Christie & Co sells Rupert's Day Nursery to expanding local operator

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co is pleased to announce the sale of Rupert’s Day Nursery.

This impressive 44-place nursery is located on Maple Road in Brooklands, Manchester has been sold on a freehold basis to existing nursery operators, Mr & Mrs McGrath.

The previous owner, Mrs Dewhurst set up Rupert’s Day Nursery almost 30 years ago, building the business organically and implementing an exceptionally strong and consistent local reputation for providing first class childcare. After taking the decision to retire she then approached Christie & Co to manage the sales process from the start to completion.

The attractive nursery comprises a detached, two-storey, converted and extended valuable property which was the ideal combination of nursery space and private residential accommodation.

After a six week marketing campaign, eight viewings and a competitive bidding process offers were received from four interested purchasers. The successful party in this process was Mr & Mrs McGrath and this nursery will be their fourth nursery as they continue to successfully build their portfolio of quality childcare settings and firmly establish their presence in the Sale and Manchester area.
