Christie & Co sponsored golf event in support of local charities

Deben Rotary’s Charity Golf Day on Thursday 19th July 2018, sponsored by specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, successfully raised £1,750 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) and local Rotary supported charities.

Organised by The Rotary Club of Woodbridge Deben in conjunction with St Audrys Golf Club in Woodbridge, East Suffolk, teams played for The Marie Hunt Shield, among other individual and team prizes, which will be presented at the club’s dinner meeting in September.

The competition and trophy honours the memory of Marie Hunt, an avid golfer who worked in an administrative role for over 10 years on the St Audrys and St Clements hospital golf courses, which were first established by the NHS in the late 1960s as social facilities for patients and their families.

Tim Gooding, Director at Christie & Co’s Ipswich office and former member of The Rotary Club of Woodbridge Deben comments, “The day was a huge success all around. We are delighted to have been the principal sponsor of such a wonderful event in support of the superlative work undertaken by EACH for children and their families, as well as several Rotary charities, which aim to support those in need within the wider local community.”
