Situated in the popular coastal town of Fleetwood in Lancashire, the care home overlooks the promenade with uninterrupted views of Morecambe Bay to the Cumbrian Hills. The substantial three storey care home is registered for 22 residents with 20 single and two double bedrooms and acts as a rehabilitation centre for the local hospital.

The home had been operated by the previous owners, Mr & Mrs Moss for over 13 years, who have built up an excellent reputation for the home within the area. Mrs & Mrs Moss comment, “Many thanks to Julie and her colleagues for working with us throughout this sale. There was a great deal of interest in the business, resulting in many viewings, but with Julie’s support, we were able to find a purchaser who we felt would build on the work we have done so far and take our care home to the next level, offering outstanding levels of care.”

Peter McGailey of CPM Care Ltd comments, “Having just completed the acquisition of Fairhaven Care Home via share purchase, we are delighted to have the opportunity to develop the care home into an outstanding care provision. The purchase was helped to completion by the professional and dedicated team at Christie & Co. Julie Kitson provided regular liaison and support throughout the whole process and worked hard to ensure that expectations were managed and timescales were met. We are looking for further opportunities and look forward to working with Christie & Co again in the future.”

Julie Kitson, Director at Christie & Co who handled the sale comments, “I am very pleased to have been involved with the share sale of Fairhaven Care Home Ltd. Share sales are not always the easiest option but in many instances, they are a preferred option. I would like to wish the new owners, CPM Care Ltd all the very best with their new acquisition which adds to their existing and growing portfolio. I would like to wish the former owners, Mr & Mrs Moss all the best wishes for their semi-retirement and new venture.”

Fairhaven Care Home was sold off an asking price of £745,000.
