East Sussex care home sold to experienced specialist operator

The sale of Green Hill Care Home in Crowhurst, East Sussex has been completed by specialist business property adviser Christie & Co. The new owner, Belmont Healthcare Group, a long established name in private social care, purchased the care home as part of its plans to expand its portfolio of specialist dementia care services and has renamed the premises Edendale Lodge.

Edendale Lodge benefits from a high standard of decoration and facilities such as a cinema, activities centre, and bar area, with particular attention given to providing a warm home-from-home environment.  A registered member of the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the principal regulatory body for the care industry, the Lodge welcomes male and female residents aged 55 years and over.

With great potential to thrive, the care home is the ideal country retreat with views across the countryside to the sea. Edendale Lodge is registered for residents who are no longer able to live independently due to dementia.

Belmont Healthcare offers multiple forms of long, short, respite or day care for those in need, specialising in dementia, Parkinson’s and specialist elderly support situated in delightful settings around the coastal areas of Kent and East Sussex.

Adam Hutchison, managing director of Belmont Healthcare comments, “We are very pleased to acquire the care home from administration through Christie & Co and look forward bringing our wealth of experience to creating a new positive and secure homely environment for the current residents and our new arrivals.”

John Harrison, Director of Christie & Co who handled the sale commented, “We are delighted to have been able to continue to assist Belmont Healthcare Group with their second addition through us and wish them continued success with this latest acquisition.”
