New guard at Lossie's Coulard Inn

Lossiemouth’s Coulard Inn has a new owner today following a sale brokered by specialist business property adviser Christie & Co.

The Coulard Inn, which is popular both with local customers and with RAF personnel from the nearby Lossiemouth base, has been purchased by local resident John Martin, who is making his first foray into the pub trade.

Ken Sims, Director at Christie & Co brokered the sale of the Coulard Inn and said, “As one of the main operating bases of the RAF, Lossiemouth, or “Lossie” as it is known affectionally known, experiences a frequently high footfall thanks to the service staff working at the local base.

“The area is also an attraction for sailing and surfing fans, and also sees a lot of visitors thanks to Moray Golf Club, which has two fine gold courses, including the old classic Links course by the west beach.

“The Coulard is a valued local pub in the middle of a residential area, and is an asset within the local community. I’m sure that the residents of Lossie will support John in his new venture, and Christie & Co would like to wish him all the very best.”

The Coulard Inn at Lossiemouth was sold on a freehold basis of an asking price of OIEO £250,000.
