Occupying a prominent position on Market Street, the store caters to a high level of passing trade and provides a range of convenience products, including food, alcohol, newspapers and magazines, tobacco, and also offers National Lottery and PayPoint services.

The store was purchased by Anil and Andrew, who comment, “We are absolutely delighted to secure this opportunity. We will also be supporting the local community and working with fantastic initiatives, such as Basics Bank. Our aim is to restore life to the British high street – starting in Eastleigh!

“Our grand opening is on 23 February from 10.30am when the Mayor will be joining us and there will lots of free give-aways for our customers.”

Tom Glanvill, Senior Business Agent at Christie & Co’s Winchester office comments, “I am delighted to have handled the successful sale of this large and historic store in the centre of Eastleigh. I believe the new owners will bring enthusiasm and breath new life into this store, which will be great for the local community and demonstrate how small, independent businesses can still thrive on the high street.

“The store was part of a wider corporate disposal handled by Christie & Co and demonstrates the continued demand for convenience stores and our success in helping those seeking to sell a going concern business in the convenience sector.”
