Lawson’s Delicatessen, the multi-award winning business in the Suffolk coastal town of Aldeburgh is up for sale with specialist property adviser Christie + Co.

The busy and vibrant Delicatessen is well known for its extensive range of both local and international products, prepared on the premises daily by its well trained staff.

Owned and operated by Richard Lawson and Claire Bruce-Clayton  since 2006, Lawson’s has consistently been operated at a high standard. In 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011 Lawson’s won the Best Delicatessen in the Suffolk Food and Drink Awards and in 2010 the business won a national award for Deli of the Year.

Aside from the tasty homemade artisan breads, sweet & savoury pastries, cured meats, locally smoked fish, olives and jams to name a few, the business also provides catering services for various functions including weddings, business lunches and cocktail parties.

Melvyn Eke of Christie + Co’s Ipswich office is handling the sale of the business, he comments: “This is an excellent opportunity for a new owner to take over a highly-decorated business in the popular tourist location of Aldeburgh. Lawson’s benefits from an excellent reputation, an increasing level of trade and an enviable capacity of repeat business therefore early viewing is highly recommended to avoid disappointment.”
