Orchidale Children’s Nursery in Norwich has been sold in a deal brokered by Christie + Co.

The new owners are experienced nursery operators Amanda Turner and Helena Belchior Pereira Lopes from Essex. They currently own two nurseries located in Kent and Essex, and are looking to expand.

Established in 2008, Orchidale Children’s Nursery occupies a wonderful location in the picturesque village of Taverham and benefits from ample outdoor space. The nursery has capacity for up to 40 children between the ages of two months to five years old.

Robert Mellamphy, Director at Christie + Co’s Ipswich office says: “We congratulate Amanda Turner and Helena Belchior Pereira Lopes on this excellent acquisition and wish them the best of luck.”

“As outlined in our recent Business Outlook report, with both parents working in nearly two million of all families in the UK — childcare is not a discretionary spend but a necessity. Strong demand and increased confidence in the childcare sector has led to banks and investors being more generous with their funding. This will result in more acquisitions from national and regional nursery chains this year."
