It is a recognised care home in the Craven District of North Yorkshire and was awarded a Good rating in its most recent Care Quality Commission Inspection.

The care home has been acquired by Lakhvendar Sohal, a businessman who plans to run the facility as part of the newly established, Milton House Nursing and Care Limited company. Mr Sohal comments, “We are absolutely delighted with our purchase of Milton House. Our aim is to continue the high standard of care that is currently provided by the fantastic staff at Milton House with whom we will continue to serve Gargrave and the surrounding areas.”
