Union Inn, a popular community pub in the beautiful North Devon village of Stibb Cross, has been brought to the market by specialist property advisor Christie + Co.

Serving a rich and flavoursome menu of classic pub dishes in a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, Union Inn ticks every box of cosy with its cream rendered walls, exposed wooden beams and a beautiful open fireplace.

Aside from the 50-cover bar area, there is a restaurant area for 16-covers, equipped with a range of wooden tables and chairs. The property also benefits from a three double bedroom owners’ accommodation.

With a large car park and relaxing garden space, Union Inn is perfectly positioned for exploring the area's beautiful countryside.

The detached two-storey property occupies a prominent roadside position on the cross road of North Devon, benefiting from passing trade from Barnstaple and Bideford in the north, Torrington to the east and Holsworthy to the west. Several of the local North Devon attractions such as The Milky Way Adventure Park, The BIG Sheep and Quince Honey Farm, lie close to the property.

Richard Wood of Christie + Co, Exeter office is handling the sale. He says: “Union Inn is the hub of the community and a natural stopping off point for both locals and visitors.”

“Our clients have developed a strong food trade through feature nights that have included large charity events. Due to ill heath, they have reluctantly put their business on the market leaving room for a potential purchaser to expand the trade into areas our clients haven’t been able to. One plan was to develop the substantial owner’s accommodation to include separate letting rooms with separate roadside access to the accommodation.”

Christie + Co is seeking offers of £445,000 for the freehold interest in the Union Inn.
