Purpose of the role
We are seeking an experienced property or business agent to join our Retail team, based in our London office. This role carries direct responsibility for sourcing and completing transactions involving retail businesses and properties, spanning a wide range of retail assets across the South East of the UK. Tasks include generating leads to sell, processing instructions, and managing deals to completion. The agent will identify, contact, and qualify buyers, and will be client-facing, serving as the first point of contact in any sale and dealing with buyers and applicants across the region.

About the team
As the market leaders in providing professional agency and valuation services across several specialist areas of retail, we’ve been involved in the sale and purchase of more retail businesses than any other agency in the UK.

The agent will work closely with the Regional Director for Retail and Leisure, maintain a dotted‑line reporting relationship to the Retail and Leisure Managing Director, and collaborate with Agents, Valuers, and support staff based in London, as well as Retail and Leisure Agents located in other UK offices.


Responsibilities
In this role you will:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy.
  • Identify, engage, and build relationships with retail business owners, buyers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead all aspects of the sales cycle, from prospecting and presenting through to negotiation and closing deals.
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify growth opportunities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, building our brand as the go-to retail brokerage firm.


What we are looking for
The suitable candidate for this role would bring:

  • A valid UK driving licence and confidence driving long distances
  • At least two years of experience in the property industry (commercial or residential)
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in property sales
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
