Purpose of the Role
Christie & Co is currently seeking a Junior Corporate Communications Executive to support the Head of Corporate Communications and the wider Corporate Communications team in a role that is sure to bring a huge amount of variety to your day. You will be keen to learn about a range of communications content across a variety of media, including press releases, social media, podcasts, industry videos, etc., and promote the work that we do across a variety of sectors, including hotels, pubs, restaurants, retail and leisure.
This full-time post is London-based and, on occasion, will require travel throughout the UK. A competitive remuneration package will be offered with a starting salary reflecting qualifications and experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Draft press releases and blog posts across the hotel, pub, restaurant, retail and leisure sectors
- Liaise with the journalists on day-to-day media enquiries
- Manage our media monitoring service, collate coverage, and share weekly coverage newsletters with the business
- Upload content to our website
- Source content ideas – researching key dates for sectors and wider industry research to craft and develop engaging stories
- Create and publish posts for our social media channels to promote the firm’s corporate news and other content
- Support with research reports and publications, such as our annual ‘Business Outlook’ report
- Manage internal communications channels – supporting the team to manage and upload content to our collaboration platform
About the Team
The wider Marketing team consists of a committed and friendly group of marketing professionals who work closely to support the business and its objectives to grow, through providing a ‘one stop shop’ for those who own, or wish to invest in, business property. With 23 colleagues across the UK and Europe, we aim to provide proactive, quality marketing advice across our sectors and services, under the Christie Group umbrella. The team includes specialists in Communications and Design, as well as those providing marketing account management for the core business.
Skills and Experience
- Educated to Degree level, ideally in Marketing, Communications, English or History - Desirable
- Willingness to learn - Essential
- Excellent attention to detail - Essential
- Excellent communication skills - Essential
- Copywriting and content development skills - Desirable
- Comfortable dealing with media enquiries and undertaking proactive media outreach -Desirable
- Demonstrable project management skills and the ability to multitask - Desirable
- Digital marketing and communications experience, comfortable using content management and online newsletter systems - Desirable
- Experience with CMS such as Salesforce and social media scheduling software such as Buffer – Desirable
- Experience in Communications role - Desirable
