40 Years in Manchester: A Buzzing Celebration

On 23 July 2025, we hosted a fabulous event at The Dome to celebrate 40 years since we opened the doors to our Manchester office.
Attended by clients, colleagues, and professional advisers spanning each of the sectors that we specialise in, we enjoyed an afternoon of networking, drinks, and canapés among music and some very flowery waiting staff.
Courteney Donaldson (Managing Director – Childcare & Education, Christie & Co), who is the longest serving member of our team in Manchester, spoke at the event: “As a proud Mancunian, the Manchester bee symbolises our city's industrious spirit and, over the past four decades, our team in Manchester has certainly been very industrious. The North West region has always been a dynamic and vibrant hub for business, and we are proud to have played a role in its growth and development. People are what make Manchester the place to be, the place to grow, and the place to live and have fun – Manchester is a community, and we are proud to have advised on the growth, investment and sales of so many businesses that serve our community, from The Lowry Hotel, The Midland hotel, and Manchester Free Trade Hall, to Brannigans Nightclub on Peter Street, Ocean Dental, Kids Allowed and Abbey College, to name a few! The relationships we’ve built with so many of you here with us today have been key. Some of these friendships have lasted for 15, 20, 25 or even more years. I’d like to thank you all for your support over the years; we really wouldn’t be where we are as a firm without you.”
