When did you join Christie & Co?
February 2022.
Where were you when you accepted your role at Christie & Co?
In my parents’ living room of all places!
What was your first job?
Pot washing in a pub in Suffolk, bizarrely the owner has recently spoken to me about selling!
In a couple of sentences, can you tell us a bit about your job at Christie & Co?
I am responsible for the sale and acquisition activity in the Pubs & Restaurants sector in East Anglia.
What’s your favourite thing about Christie & Co?
Everyone says it but it’s true, but the people! Christie & Co supported me through a time when I was unwell with a brain tumour and unable to work, helping me transition back to work. With that journey, I have benefitted massively from very experienced colleagues who are always happy to answer any questions I have and provide advice if they were in my position.
Tell us a bit about your life outside work – what are your hobbies?
I love all sports! I love playing and talking about sport. I’m an Arsenal fan so I spend a lot of time watching and talking about football! Since my surgery, I can’t play rugby anymore, so I have taken up golf to satisfy that competitiveness.
What’s your hometown? Where do you live now?
I was born in Bury St Edmunds and now actually live in Bury too, but I have always lived in Suffolk.
Where’s the best place you’ve been on holiday?
For a winter holiday it would have to be skiing in Vaujany and for a summer holiday it would be relaxing in Vale De Lobo, Portugal.
What’s your biggest pet peeve?
Bad drivers.
If you could live and work in any city, where would you go?
Whenever I go into London, I do enjoy the energy and buzz that comes with a city, but I'm not sure I could live and work in London. I love living in Bury and think a busy town in the country is my preference.
What would be your desert island meal?
Roast chicken and all the trimmings!
What’s your favourite film?
It’s a series, but probably Afterlife.
Tell us your favourite joke / What is your favourite movie quote?
From Afterlife – “I’d rather be nowhere with her than somewhere without her”
What is one thing on your bucket list?
To play poker in Las Vegas.
What is your biggest fear?
Letting people down.
What news source do you read every day?
BBC Sport.
What’s your social media platform of choice?
Instagram!
