When did you join Christie & Co?

September 2021.

Where were you when you accepted your role at Christie & Co?

On my way to watch England v Scotland in Euro 2021…. Sadly, the game that followed was not as pulse-racing as the news of a new job!

What was your first job?

Selling fuel cards at UK Fuels.

In a couple of sentences, can you tell us a bit about your job at Christie & Co?

I am Associate Director for Retail in the South East specialising in the sale of convenience stores and petrol filling stations in Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, and Cambridgeshire.

What’s your favourite thing about Christie & Co?

The trust and freedom you have to work in a style that suits you. Whether that be your working setup or the way you pitch and sell your services to clients, you are given the freedom to add personality to what we do.

What's a favourite project that you’ve worked on at Christie & Co so far?

The disposal of a group of corporately operated convenience stores, this has been my favourite as the stores have been close to where I live!

What’s been the biggest challenge of your career so far?

Controlling my own business and streamlining my approach to work in order to manage the different elements of sales and agency.

What’s been a highlight of your career so far?

The sale of Broom Boats Marina in Norfolk, with Jon Patrick, our Head of Leisure and Development. This was my first taste of larger-scale assets with many layers of complexity!

What’s your hometown? Where do you live now?

Ipswich, Suffolk. I was born and raised there!

Where’s the best place you’ve been on holiday?

Tenerife with my little girls: great weather, delicious food, and lots of splash parks...  How my holidays have changed over the years!

What’s your biggest pet peeve?

Slow walkers in crowded places.

If you could live and work in any city, where would you go?

Woodbridge, Suffolk.

What would be your desert island meal?

Curry, more specifically Chicken Balti with pilau rice.

What’s your favourite film?

Rocky three!

What’s your social media platform of choice?

Again, probably Twitter / X – showing my age now!
