Dating back to the 1500s, The White Horse occupies a prominent position in the heart of Rogate, within easy reach of Haslemere, Chichester, and Portsmouth. The characterful property accommodates around 60 covers across attractive bar and dining areas, as well as a generous trade garden overlooking the village sports field. It also includes parking for approximately 21 vehicles.

Alex Whyte, former owner of The White Horse, commented on the sale, “It has been a pleasure to revive this old pub back to being an asset in the village. I wish the new owners every success for the future.”

Richard Wood, Regional Director – Pubs & Restaurants at Christie & Co, added: “The White Horse generated strong interest from the outset, and its successful sale further underlines the depth of demand we’re seeing for freehold freehouses across the South of England, despite the continuing headwinds facing the sector. Characterful assets with letting rooms and outside trade space remain particularly sought after by buyers.”

The White Horse was marketed with a guide price of £435,000 and sold for an undisclosed sum.
