Bexhill-on-Sea day nursery sold after 24-year ownership

Amberley Nursery & Forest School is a ‘Good’ rated setting that is registered for 40 children aged from 12 months to five years and offers full-day and sessional care throughout the year. It has a spacious, homely environment with colourful, engaging learning spaces, a large outdoor garden featuring a tree house, climbing area, sensory zone, eco-garden, and themed role-play areas, and a well-established Forest School programme, which takes children on regular trips to Highwoods for nature-based learning.

The nursery occupies a prominent position on Buckhurst Road, just a short walk from Bexhill-on-Sea’s town centre and mainline station, making it ideally situated for local families.

It has been owned and operated by Clare and Mark Ryalls since 2001, during which time they have built a strong reputation for providing exceptional early years education and care. It was brought to market to allow the sellers to retire from the sector.

Following a confidential sales process with Sophie Willcox from Christie & Co, the setting has been sold to Shashi and Sunita Irukulla, who previously ran a day nursery in Buckinghamshire that they sold through Christie & Co several years ago. They have chosen to re-enter the sector by acquiring a freehold asset this time.
