State-of-the-art day nursery in Warwickshire sold

With the vision to create something really special, Piers Daniell built this spectacular day nursery in 2019, creating a state-of-the-art circa 7,500 sq ft children’s day nursery that provides a unique learning environment for up to 120 children.

The business occupies a truly eye-catching building - with a free-flowing interior for the children to enjoy, and a plethora of rooms with their own access to secure, sectioned play areas, so the different age groups can enjoy the impressive landscaped outdoor play areas.

It boasts a prime, sought-after location in the expanding Warwickshire village of Bidford-on-Avon, close to the border of Worcestershire and circa 27 miles south of Birmingham.

Following a confidential sales process with Nick Brown at Christie & Co, the setting has been purchased by an expanding nationwide group operator.

Piers Daniell, former part-owner, comments, “When we bought the land in 2018, I had young children of my own and had met three passionate childminders who shared a vision to create something extraordinary. We set out to build more than just a nursery; we wanted a state-of-the-art environment that would give every child, regardless of their background, the best possible start in life. Since opening in September 2019, Bidford Bright Stars has gone from strength to strength. We remained open throughout Covid, adapted our building to meet growing demand, and built a fantastic team, even developing our own apprentices to bring new talent into the profession.

“The decision to sell was not taken lightly, but we believe the nursery will flourish as part of a larger group. This move offers our staff greater career opportunities, creates a wider community of leaders to share ideas and best practices, and ensures the nursery continues to thrive. We chose a group that values the identity and independence we’ve worked so hard to create, and I’m confident they will carry forward our high expectations for giving young people the very best first steps in life.”

Bidford Bright Stars Nursery (Cosmic House) was sold for an undisclosed price.
