Boutique London hotel near Victoria station sold to experienced operators through Christie & Co
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co is pleased to announce the Jubilee Hotel in London has been sold on a leasehold basis.
Located on Eccleston Square, the hotel is situated right next to one of London’s busiest stations, London Victoria, and is just a short walk from the desirable Belgravia, Sloane Square and Pimlico areas.
The hotel is a popular choice with tourists due to its central location and proximity to London’s many world-renowned attractions.
Occupying an attractive six-floor townhouse, the hotel overlooks the picturesque Ecclestone Square Gardens and offers a total of 26 letting rooms, ranging from single to large family rooms, along with a welcoming reception area and breakfast room.
The previous owner owned the hotel for more than 40 years and has since leased the business to a third party. They comment, “We have enjoyed running this business and seen many changes over the years. Now it is time for someone with fresh ideas to come in and move the business forward. Andrew Evangelou at Christie & Co was invaluable to us with his expertise and advice helping us achieve objectives .”
In a joint acquisition, the hotel has been purchased by experienced operators who own several serviced apartments in London, and Turkey. The new owners have exciting plans for the hotel and intend to invest in a significant refurbishment programme.
The buyers would like to thank Andrew for his professionalism and dedication in overseeing the sale through to completion.
Andrew Evangelou, Director at Christie & Co who handled the sale, comments, “ The Jubilee Hotel is a stunning period building overlooking the tranquil Ecclestone Square Gardens, which were developed by Thomas Cubitt in the 1830’s. The business sold way in excess of its asking price due to its ideal location in London and we were able to create a competitive bidding process from the level of interest. We had 16 offers ranging from experienced hotel operators to new buyers looking to enter the sector.”
