The scheme will have 74 bedrooms with en suite wetrooms and communal resident areas, including a café, cinema, hair salon, choice of lounges, gym, balcony access, and landscaped gardens. The site is located in the desirable Woking suburb of Knaphill, in a high-profile location off Bagshot Road.
Following a sales process with Sara Hartill at Christie & Co, the consented site has been sold to B&M Care, which provides residential, respite and specialist dementia care for older people in and around the Home Counties. The group currently has 28 existing care homes.
Lee Wood, CEO at B&M Care, comments, “We are really pleased to have acquired this site and are looking forward to building and opening this new state-of-the-art care home and providing an essential service to the local community.”
Sara Hartill, Director & Head of Healthcare Development & Investment at Christie & Co, comments, “This deal marks the fourth completion for the Christie & Co Healthcare Development team in Q1 and is another indicator for how robust the new build market across the UK remains. B&M Care is an experienced regional care operator providing residential respite and specialist dementia care, and we have been pleased to assist them in obtaining the latest quality care home development for their highly respected group. We look forward to working with B&M Care as they continue the growth of their portfolio and increase their offering to residents in the south east.”
The site was sold for an undisclosed price.
