Christie & Co appointed to market two Flat Cap hotels on behalf of administrators

Over the years, the hotels have built a strong reputation as popular food-led destinations in picturesque, Grade II listed heritage sites. The company entered administration on January 18, noting the pandemic, inflation and challenging economic environment as the main factors.

The Vicarage in Cranage is a 23 bedroom property, which sits on the banks of the River Dane, overlooking the stunning Cheshire countryside. Featuring architecture dating back to the 1700’s, the hotel blends old with new, with a restaurant, modern industrial bar and surround sound sports bar on offer to guests.

The Bridge is a 27 bedroom hotel & restaurant located on the banks of the River Bollin in the picturesque Cheshire village of Prestbury. The contemporary restaurant & bar features an impressive vaulted ceiling, while the Riverside gardens featuring an outdoor bar called ‘The Shed’ make it a popular wedding location.

Tom O’Malley, Associate Director – Hotel broker at Christie & Co comments, “We’re delighted to have been appointed to market these two exceptional Cheshire hospitality businesses on behalf of the joint administrators of Begbies Traynor. The properties are available as a package or individually and we anticipate wide-ranging interest from investors and operators both national and independent.”
