After seeing the Ambassador site for sale in February, Muresh was quick to place a bid on the forecourt, recognising its close proximity to his newly acquired site in Backwell and the benefits of having two sites close together.

Since acquiring Backwell, Muresh has expanded and converted the shop into a Welcome Co Op, supplied by the Southern Co Op and has already seen the shop sales substantially improve. Muresh doesn’t plan to make any substantial changes to Ambassador Service Station until 2025, as he wants to see how the site performs over the next few months.

Muresh comments, “I am delighted with this latest acquisition to my group. Ambassador Service Station benefits from a good location in Bristol but more importantly, it is close to my recently acquired forecourt in Backwell. I would like to thank Dave from Christie & Co who brought the site to my attention and went with me despite a competitive sale process.”

This is the second forecourt sale Christie & Co has brokered in Bristol during July, following a run of eight completions in the Midlands and South West since the start of June.

Dave Morris Regional Director for Christie & Co who brokered the sale comments, “It’s been a very busy time for the Midlands and South West forecourt team, particularly in June and July. Ambassador Service Station was popular when we re-launched it to the market in February and we want to congratulate Muresh on the successful purchase.

“Freehold and leasehold forecourts remain popular, particularly in the South West. Location is key and forecourts with untapped potential are in particularly high demand so we urge any operators thinking about selling their business to get in touch and capitalise on the current market conditions.”
