Only pharmacy in County Armagh village sold as owner retires

Clarkes Pharmacy is a busy community pharmacy that sits completely unopposed in the County Armagh village of Newtownhamilton, dispensing an average of 7,350 NHS items per month. It benefits from a modern fit-out and being within walking distance of two GP surgeries.
The pharmacy has been owned by Aidan Hughes for the last 20 years and was brought to market to allow him to retire.
Following a confidential sales process with Karl Clezy at Christie & Co, it has been sold to Paul McGimpsey, a first-time buyer from the Armagh area.
Paul McGimpsey, the new owner of Clarkes Pharmacy, comments, “I am delighted to be able to take over a pharmacy that is a well-established and integral part of the local area. This was another sale to a first-time buyer, which we are seeing more frequently now in Northern Ireland, with another soon to complete to a first-time buyer in Belfast.”
Clarkes Pharmacy was sold for an undisclosed price.
