Cowzers Pharmacy is a community pharmacy which dispenses an average of 4,800 NHS script items per month and sells a healthy amount of retail and over-the-counter items. Run by an owner Pharmacist with the assistance of an employed Pharmacist, this busy branch also provides additional services, such as the Pharmacy First Scheme and Flu Vaccinations.
The pharmacy is located on the bustling Ormeau Road, approximately 1.6 miles south of Belfast city centre.
It has been owned by Gary Jones since 1996 and was recently brought to market to allow him to retire.
Following a confidential sales process with Karl Clezy at Christie & Co, Cowzers Pharmacy has been purchased by group operator, Northern Pharmacies, which owns six other branches in Northern Ireland.
Karl Clezy, Director - Pharmacy at Christie & Co, comments, “We received a lot of enquiries on this pharmacy due to its location in Belfast. It was a leasehold property, and the deal could only happen once the current lease was extended, which did happen in time for the deal to complete in just over two months after solicitors were instructed.”
Cowzers Pharmacy was sold for an undisclosed price.
