RV Extra Care is a CQC-rated ‘Outstanding’ personalised home care service for people living in their own homes across Honiton, Ottery St Mary, West Hill, Feniton, and the surrounding East Devon area, while being headquartered in Honiton. The business also benefits from a 10/10 rating on homecare.co.uk.

RV Extra Care was brought to market following a strategic portfolio review, believing it would be best placed to continue its long-term success under the ownership of a specialist domiciliary care provider.

Following a confidential sales process with Eve-Angelica Apperley at Christie & Co, and with funding sourced through Gary Boyce at Christie Finance, the business has been purchased by Andrew Chan, of RVC Care Group. Andrew has worked in social care since 2016, supporting people experiencing homelessness and vulnerable adults, most recently leading the successful turnaround of a struggling care home business.

John Aitken, Group Asset Manager of HC-One, comments, “RV Extra Care has an outstanding team and a well-earned reputation for delivering exceptional care, so it was important to us that we found the right long-term home for the business. We're delighted to see RV Extra Care begin this next chapter with RVC Care Group and are confident Andrew and his team will build on everything that's already been achieved. We thank everyone at RV Extra Care for their dedication and wish them every success for the future.”

Andrew Chan, the new owner of RV Extra Care, comments, “This has been more than a year in the making, so to finally get it over the line is a proud moment for everyone involved. To take on a service rated Outstanding by the CQC is a privilege - that rating belongs to a team whose culture and dedication speak for themselves. I'm excited to support them, invest in the service and learn from the standard they set, and it's a milestone that strengthens our wider group enormously."

Eve-Angelica Apperley, Business Agent – Care at Christie & Co, comments, “It was great to work with the vendor on the sale of their domiciliary care business to Andrew Chan from RVC Care Group. With around 915,000 adults currently receiving home care in the UK, we are seeing increasing demand from buyers for businesses of this type to come to market. We wish Andrew every success for the future and look forward to seeing the business continue to thrive under his ownership.”

Gary Boyce, Director – Christie Finance, comments, “It was a pleasure assisting Andrew with the acquisition of his latest domiciliary care business and being part of his journey as he continues to expand his presence within this specialist care sector. As an experienced operator, Andrew has consistently demonstrated his ability to manage and grow care businesses successfully. This latest acquisition complements his existing portfolio and is well positioned for future growth.

“I have no doubt that Andrew will make a great success of the business and continue to drive it forward. I look forward to supporting him with the acquisitions already in his pipeline as he continues to grow his group.”

RV Extra Care was sold for an undisclosed price.
