The Elm Tree Inn sold to local community group

The Elm Tree Inn offers a 60-cover dining area, three-bedroom accommodation, and extensive parking and gardens.

Alun Cooper, a spokesperson for Friends of the Elm Tree Ltd, said, “When we set out to purchase The Elm Tree Inn in Langton Herring, Dorset, we were filled with determination and zeal, but little did we know how demanding the process would be.  Now, one year later, we are a registered Community Business Society, and we have raised the necessary funds to purchase The Elm Tree Inn and to reopen the pub. 

“Now that we have completed the purchase, this is a perfect moment to look back and appreciate the process. Many people came to our support, both with financial donations and others with sound advice.  Specialists such as commercial valuers, solicitors and videographers worked on our behalf without a professional fee. We appreciate all their contributions. I must state that there were times when we did not fully appreciate what we needed to do concerning the purchase itself, and every time we reached out to Christie & Co we received sagacious, friendly advice from Richard Wood and we are grateful for his interventions.”
