Well-established community shop and post office in Scottish Borders sold following owners retirement

Set in the hillside village of Chirnside, Renton’s Newsagents and Post Office sits 10 miles west of the historic border town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, with good transport links to Edinburgh. The well-established business has been serving the local and wider community for many years.

The store was previously owned and operated by Gillian Renton, who sold the business in order to retire. She comments on the sale, “From getting my shop on the market to completion, this was an  efficient and  hassle-free process - I can’t thank Christie & Co and Liam enough.”

The business has been purchased by Nisa Thushanthan.
