The purpose-built, single storey store is heavily relied upon by the local community, and is located within a residential area just off a main road through the town, benefitting from high visibility.
The previous owner Mrs Hira Modhvadia decided to sell to focus on other business ventures, after operating this convenience store for nearly twenty years. Mrs Modhvadia commented: “It has been a pleasure and an honour have dealings with Christie & Co, and I wish the buyers all the best for their new chapter.”
The store has been acquired by an experienced operator who plans to re-design the store, update the fit-out, and increase sales by offering further stock and services to existing customers, particularly those who regularly use the Post Office. Mr Kandasamy commented: “We are very pleased to have acquired this store and add it to our existing businesses in the area. We have plans to re-design the store and build upon the customer experience. We also look forward to dealing with Christie & Co again in the future.”
