The Manor Hotel is a handsome Grade II Listed terrace property which has undergone extensive renovation works over the last three years to convert it from a hotel specialising in coach group holidays into a thriving hotel catering exclusively for private leisure and business guests. The hotel is believed to have been constructed in the late 1700’s, making it one of the oldest surviving buildings on The Beacon in Exmouth. The 28-bedroom, family-run property is located in a prime elevated position overlooking Exmouth, just 200 meters from the town's famous sandy beach.

The property presented a unique opportunity for investors wanting to benefit from the recent renovations and the thousands of tourists who visit Exmouth annually. Christie & Co achieved the sale through a successful marketing campaign that reached almost 5,300 registered buyers.

New owner, Sam Surani has extensive experience in the sector, having previously owned the Broadway Hotel in Llandudno. Sam comments “We are excited to take over the Manor hotel in Exmouth and add value to the great historical building by providing an excellent guest experience. I would like to thank Stephen Champion for providing support and guidance throughout the process. I wish the previous owner good luck with their endeavours”

Stephen Champion, Director in Christie & Co’s South West Hotels Team who brokered the deal says, “The previous owners purchased the Manor Hotel in 2017 and have since carried out an extensive refurbishment of the rooms and guest facilities. The new owner, Sam Surani, identified the upside in a business that has had considerable investment and was quick to secure the opportunity. We wish Sam Surani every success with his new business venture.

“Buyer demand for quality hotels continues to stay high, with buyers identifying the South West tourism industry as a safe, long-term investment, with many businesses offering considerable opportunity for further growth.”
