Former Southampton care home property to reopen as children’s day nursery

The business, which previously operated as a residential care home for up to 20 residents, ceased trading in March 2025. It occupied a 14-bedroom detached, two-storey building in a residential area of Sarisbury Green, close to a variety of shops and amenities.
Following a confidential sales process with Charles Phillips at Christie & Co, the property has been purchased by Cavendish & Gloucester PLC, led by James Murphy, who plans to bring forward a mixed-use children’s day nursery and residential scheme, subject to the necessary planning consents. The details of the scheme remain at a high level at this stage.
