Hotel in Montrose sold for the first time in 30 years

With 25 en suite letting bedrooms, a restaurant, a lounge and a function room, The George Hotel had been owned by Patricia Douglas for over 30 years and was sold to allow her to retire and spend time travelling. The hotel is a popular local institution and attracts visitors all year round.
Following a sale process with Simon Watson at Christie & Co, the hotel has been sold to a private operator.
