Overwater Hall Hotel has been owned and operated by couple, Adrian and Angela Hyde, alongside their business partner Stephen Bore, since 1992, and they have worked tirelessly to create a welcoming country house hotel with an emphasis on comfort, hospitality and superb local food. Angela looks after the management of the business and Adrian leads the kitchen team as Head Chef, a role that has gained the hotel a first-class reputation for the quality of the food and dining experience.
Angela Hyde comments, “From the moment we first set foot in Overwater Hall over 30 years ago, we knew we had found a true Lakeland gem, captured by the grandeur of the building and the potential it offered. We knew we could create something special which we could share with guests for years to come. There is a magical charm about the hall and we have loved our time here, though we now need to retire. We do so in the knowledge that we have played a part in the history of this wonderful building and created a business that a new owner can develop further. We hope they enjoy their time here as much as we have done.”
