Busy Eastbourne Pharmacy sold to first-time buyer after 20 years

Grand Pharmacy is a standard-hours, community pharmacy which dispenses an average of 5,615 items per month and offers additional services, such as travel vaccinations and the Pharmacy First scheme.

The pharmacy sits on Compton Street, on a busy parade close to the town centre, and enjoys views over the seafront and a high footfall.

It has been owned by husband-and-wife duo Afshin and Elham Eslamdoust for over 20 years and was brought to market as part of their retirement plans.

Following a sales process with Mark Page at Christie & Co, Grand Pharmacy has been purchased by first-time buyer, Dipen Patel.

Dipen Patel, the new owner of Grand Pharmacy, comments, "I'm looking forward to growing the pharmacy by offering services such as ear-wax removal and expanding our range of products."

Mark Page, Director – Pharmacy at Christie & Co, comments, “A few years ago, the sellers started to specialise in travel vaccinations and other services, recognising that the pharmacy needed to lessen its reliance on NHS income. This has worked well and this business on the south coast now attracts customers from miles around. This is Dipen’s first pharmacy and we wish him all the very best.”

Grand Pharmacy was sold for an undisclosed price.
