Located in the heart of Torquay, close to the local cafes and shops, the Torbay Hotel features 111 modern bedrooms, many of which boast spectacular harbour views, along with a ballroom, sun terrace and two bars.

The hotel has joined the Caledonian Family and marks their first deal through Christie & Co for 2024.

David McDonald, Finance Director, comments, “Adding The Caledonian Torbay Hotel to our collection is another exciting development for our business as we look to accelerate our growth in established UK resorts, following the successful launch of The Caledonian Claymore and Caledonian Tower Hotel. We would like to once again thank Christie and Co.”

Stephen Champion, Director in Christie & Co’s Hotel team, who acted for the seller, comments, “The Torbay Hotel is a landmark alongside Torquay’s marina and unsurprisingly attracted considerable buyer interest when launched to the market, generating bids from both domestic and international hotel operators.

“We are delighted to report that the hotel has joined the Caledonian family. It has been a pleasure working with the buyers on this sale and we wish them every success in the future.

“The hotel is one of the 33-assets put to market as part of the Coast & Country Portfolio. The hotels have received very strong interest to date, and a very limited number of these assets remain available, so we invite any interested parties to get in touch.”

Enquiries regarding the remaining Coast & Country Hotels on the market should be directed to Jeremy Jones, Head of Hotel Brokerage at Christie & Co.
