'Outstanding’ Cheshire day nursery sold to Bright Stars

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the leasehold sale of High Hopes Day Nursery in East Cheshire.

High Hopes Day Nursery in Cheshire

High Hopes is an ‘Outstanding’ rated day nursery with an operating capacity for up to 100 children aged zero to five years. Set within a unique semi-rural site, it operates across three separate buildings with a children’s outdoor learning experience that is truly unrivalled due to the site’s extensive grounds.

The setting sits on a popular main commuter route between the desirable East Cheshire towns of Macclesfield and Congleton, and is widely known as Congleton's ‘premier’ nursery.

Since opening the setting in 2012, husband and wife team, Chris Williams and Leah Konstantino, have implemented a successful business model and encouraged the nursery to flourish in every aspect.

Following a confidential sales process with Christie & Co, the business has been purchased by Bright Stars, which now owns 95 settings across the country.

Chris Williams and Leah Konstantino, the previous owners, comment, “The nursery has been such a huge part of our lives for over 10 years - the decision to sell was very emotional, but we feel we've chosen the right group to take the nursery into its next era."

Stephen Booty, Chairman at Bright Stars, comments, “We are delighted that Chris and Leah chose to sell their wonderful nursery to us – Bright Stars Nursery Group. The setting is outstanding in every possible way, and we look forward to working with Emma and her team to support them in maintaining this fantastic nursery.”

Sofia Beck, Director – Childcare & Education at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, comments, “I’m pleased to have assisted Chris and Leah with their exit, which I know wasn’t an easy decision for them to make. I truly wish them all the best for the future and I’m sure they’ll enjoy having more time to focus on their family. I agree that the nursery will be in great hands with Bright Stars as they continue to grow their presence within the North West.

“Appetite remains strong within the childcare and education sector, with single-asset day nurseries or small nursery groups of exceptional quality continuing to gain interest from larger operators."

High Hopes Day Nursery was sold for an undisclosed price.
