Believed to date back to 1852, St Giles House Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Norwich. The characterful Grade II Listed property has retained its original ornate features and displays a classic Georgian façade, typical of the period with part Art-Deco features.

The hotel offers 24 magnificent en suite bedrooms, a bar, restaurant and extensive wedding and event spaces for up to 150 guests, together with a spa.

The property is well positioned within Norwich’s historic quarter, offering one of the best trading locations to explore the historic university city. Norwich has a population of around 253,000 within 10km of the city and offers excellent transport connections via its international airport and road and rail routes to London and the Midlands. The city is considered a vibrant tourist destination which includes the world renowned Norfolk Broads, an inland network of waterways which attract visitors from across the world.

Simon Jackaman, Director – Hotels East Anglia, who is handling the sale, comments, “This is a very attractive underlying piece of real estate, and it is our hope to find a new owner and hopefully new investment through an open marketing process. The hotel is operated by staff under management and offers a buyer an excellent opportunity to acquire a good trading business in one of the best locations in East Anglia.”

“In view of the attractive location and potential business upside opportunities presented, I believe that the hotel is likely to generate a wide variety of prospective purchasers and/or investors, both from within the industry as well as those looking for lifestyle investments.”

Offers of £2,900,000 are being sought for the freehold property, goodwill and trading assets.
