Local hospitality operator Sean Whyman, who has a longstanding connection with the pub and the surrounding area, has taken on the lease, marking an exciting new chapter for this much-loved riverside venue.
Sean brings with him a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted passion for the Jenyns Arms, having previously been involved with the pub and other successful ventures in the region. His plans aim to honour the pub’s heritage while reintroducing it as a welcoming hub for locals, boaters, and visitors alike.
“We are thrilled to be re-opening the Jenyns Arms,” said Mr Whyman. “It’s a place with real character and history, and we are looking forward to bringing it back to life with great food, a warm atmosphere, and a strong connection to the community.”
"From the very first viewing to completion, we knew Sean and his team were the ideal choice to take on The Jenyns Arms. I’ll be first in line to witness the results of their dedication and hard work when the doors reopen,” added Liana Gatier, Business Agent at Christie & Co who managed the sale.
The reopening is expected to take place in the coming months.
