Kosher City is an established store in the local Jewish community, situated in a busy residential area and stocking kosher products. The store has been let on behalf of freehold owner Jacob, who has decided to step away from operating the store in order to focus on other career interests, and said, “I am embarking on a new career path, but I will remain hands-on as the freeholder. In this sale, Joe Graham at Christie & Co has been instrumental in making this possible and I cannot recommend him highly enough.”

A new lease for the store has been sold to Suresh Kancharla, marking his first acquisition in the convenience retail sector following a career owning IT companies. He said: “I am excited for this opportunity to venture into the convenience retail sector with the acquisition of Kosher City. After years in IT, I find that interpreting and transforming data into real-life situations offers immense potential. I aim to utilize my extensive experience from the IT sector to enhance the overall shopping experience for our customers, by integrating crucial aspects of customer service, quality assurance, and technological advancements. I would like to thank Joe Graham at Christie & Co for his exceptional support throughout this acquisition process.”

Joe Graham, Business Agent at Christie & Co, handled the sale process and said, “I’d like to congratulate Jacob on successfully finding a tenant for his beloved store, which he has owned and operated for many years. I wish him all the best in his new ventures.

“I’d also like to congratulate Mr Kancharla. I am excited to see him implement his new ideas while building on the strong relationships that Jacob has already established within the local community.

“The deal was not without its challenges, but both buyer and seller remained dedicated to the cause, and we were able to see it through to completion. No doubt this will be a positive outcome for the community, and I look forward to visiting the store again in the future.”

Finance was secured through Nathan McFarlane at Christie Finance, who said, “It was a pleasure to support such an ambitious entrepreneur by securing a funding package to fund his first step into the retail sector. I wish Suresh all the best with his future endeavours.”
