Large Salisbury site to soon reopen as day nursery following sale

Formerly the long-standing, 56-place day nursery, The Griffin School, this vacant property was closed mid-2022 and was subsequently sold as part of the previous owners’ retirement plans.
Following a confidential sales process with Christie & Co, the setting has been sold to Finkley Nurseries which has three other settings in the region; Finkley Down Farm Nursery & Pre-school and Finkley East Anton in Andover, and Finkley Weeke Nursery & Pre-school in Winchester. With the help of some external investors, the owners plan to revamp this former setting and bring it back to life under the Finkley Nursery & Pre-school brand.
Gary and Alison Dennis, owners of Finkley Nurseries, comment, “This is a great opportunity to bring the Finkley brand to Salisbury. The close proximity the location has to Hudson’s field and Old Sarum means we can take the children on lots of trips which is at the heart of our brand.”

The rear garden also has a lot of space which can be developed for a range of outdoor play activities. We wish our long-serving clients a happy retirement after years of dedication, and look forward to seeing the new owners bring their existing nursery brand to the site.”
The Griffin School was sold for an undisclosed price.
