Lease for bar-restaurant on Queens Road in Peckham sold

Formerly known as ‘Pedler Good Fortune’, the bar and restaurant has been closed since July 2022 and comprises of 600 square feet of trading space on the ground floor and 900 square feet in the basement.

The lease for the bar has been acquired by Alexander Dunstan from Sea Swallow Limited, who commented, “Swallow will essentially be an evolution of my supper club concept. The supper clubs incorporate life drawing, burlesque, hearty food, good wine, and a strong sense of community, and have been thriving for five years now. Swallow will embody all of this and more, with an emphasis on little things done properly and done well.

“We plan to be an all-day venue, and a trusted hub of the community. We’ll open in the mornings for coffee and pastries for commuters and having space for remote workers to stay and enjoy our hospitality. We'll start serving our main menu from midday, offering minimalistic British fare alongside a daily homemade special from the chef. In the evenings, we'll transform into a cosy and comfortable destination where people can enjoy local beers, natural wines and a range of quality house cocktails with their food. We also plan to continue strengthening our relationship with the arts, hosting life drawing events, community socials, and burlesque.”
