Founded in 2008, Little Earthworms has built a strong reputation for delivering exceptional childcare in a nurturing, environmentally conscious setting. Located on Ditchling Road, Brighton, the nursery has served the local community for over 16 years, offering organic meals, sustainable practices, and a home-from-home atmosphere for up to 45 children daily.

Under the leadership of Directors Rachel Humphrey and Sylvia Roberts, Little Earthworms became a trailblazer in eco-conscious childcare, integrating solar energy, organic nutrition, and nature-based learning into its daily operations. The nursery’s commitment to sustainability and child development has earned it consistent praise from parents, carers, and Ofsted inspectors alike.

The sale of Little Earthworms reflects a strategic decision by the founders to pass the torch to new owners who share the nursery’s values and vision. The nursery has been bought by Vish Dhamija, who owns another nursery in Thanet, Kent.

Previous owners, Rachel Humphries and Sylvia Roberts comment, “We started Little Earthworms with a simple dream of making a nursery that was a good and happy place for both families and staff: to create a space where childcare, love and support was grown and nourished with care in the childcare sector that was failing to offer those things!

“We are incredibly proud of what we have built, and we are so pleased to be passing it on to the new lovely owner knowing that Little Earthworms will continue to thrive as an educational, nurturing, homely setting for many years to come!”

New owner, Vish Dhamija, comments, “There were a few hiccups along the way and plenty of hard work, but we got there in the end. I am delighted to take on Little Earthworms – thank you to Sophie Willcox for being fantastic at getting this deal over the line!”

The nursery will continue to operate from its current location on Ditchling Road, Brighton, with no disruption to services. Parents and carers can expect the same dedication to quality, sustainability, and child-centred learning that has defined Little Earthworms since its inception.

Sophie Willcox, Director - Childcare & Education at Christie & Co, adds, “Little Earthworms is a lovely business, and I am glad to have worked with the sellers in finding them a like-minded buyer whose primary focus is continuing to provide exceptional childcare with a happy team.”
