Longstanding Thameside hotel in Maidenhead sold through Christie & Co
Specialist business property advisor, Christie & Co, is pleased to announce the sale of The Thames Hotel in Maidenhead, Berkshire.
Originally built in 1886, The Thames Hotel is a cherished establishment along the banks of the River Thames, and over the years has built a renowned reputation in Maidenhead for both accommodation and food and beverage offering. The highly successful hotel features 33-bedrooms, an extensive bar and restaurant and an external River Thames terrace.
The Thames Hotel has been independently owned and operated under the stewardship of the Owen family since 1994, who have substantially upgraded hotel’s facilities by expanding its range of services and have significantly widened the hotel’s customer base.
Previous owner, Cliff Owen, comments on the sale, “Whilst it is of course sad to be selling a business with which we have been involved with for almost 30 years, now is the right time to step back. We wish the new owners every success during their ownership of this great and profitable hotel on the banks of the River Thames. Most importantly we would like to thank the staff, with whom we have shared this memorable journey, for their hard work and dedication over the years.”

The Thames Hotel has been successfully sold off a guide price of £2,450,000.
