Established group of four Plymouth care homes sold to Smart Care Homes

The group comprises Greenacres Care Centre and Greenacres Independent Living on Pearn Road, Seymour Court on Glen Road, and Thorn Park and Charlton House on Mannamead Road. Combined, they are registered for 156 residents in the category of residential dementia care and nursing.

The homes were previously owned by Phil and Tonya Gerry who established the group over 20 years ago. They recently decided to sell to allow them to spend more time with family and overseas.

Following a confidential sales process with Simon Harvey at Christie & Co, the group has been sold to Asim Chaudhary of Smart Care Homes which currently operates residential care homes in the South East, and saw this acquisition as an excellent opportunity to expand into the South West.
