Manorview Hotels & Leisure acquire The Bothwell Bridge Hotel
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co is pleased to report that the family-run Bothwell Bridge Hotel has been sold to multiple operator, Manorview Hotels & Leisure Ltd. The hotel was sold on behalf of the Martalo family who have owned the property since 1980, when it was previously known as The Clyde Hotel.
The privately-owned hotel located in Bothwell, on the outskirts of Glasgow, has 90 en suite letting bedrooms, various function facilities and a lounge bar and restaurant, together with an outdoor terrace and large car park. The traditional hotel is strategically positioned moments away from the M74 motorway and key demand generators including Bothwell Castle Golf Club and the ruins of Bothwell Castle and also within a 10-minute drive of Strathlyde Country Park.
The successful new owner, Manorview Hotels bring with them a wealth of experience and a strong focus on expansion, having acquired its tenth site – the Brisbane House Hotel in Largs just last month. They plan to invest and refurbish the Bothwell Bridge Hotel to re-establish it as a destination that the local community can enjoy and ensure it provides an unforgettable hospitality experience.

This is something we’ve done on varying levels with every venue we’ve acquired since our inception in 2006.”
